Police respond to robbery at automotive store

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Corpus Christi police were called over to a west side automotive store after a man allegedly threatened an employee.

The incident happened just after Wednesday afternoon in the 1200 block of South Port Avenue near Morgan Avenue.

Corpus Christi Police Department Lt. Javier Cantu said a man in his forties took some tools and paints from behind an AutoZone store. An employee confronted the suspect, who allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the employee.

Police later found the suspect on Elgin Street.

Police say he will face aggravated robbery, evading, and resisting arrest charges.
