CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was a wild night for area law enforcement as they were led on two high-speed chases.

Both ended in arrests.

The first involved a woman who wouldn't pull over for a Department of Public Safety trooper who tried to pull her over on Interstate 37 just after midnight.

She sped off and led troopers on a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 mph.

It began in the Calallen area and ended on Navigation when the woman crashed into some construction barriers.

No one was hurt.

The woman is facing DWI and evading arrest charges.

A couple of hours later DPS troopers found themselves involved in another chase.

This one began around 2:30 a.m. on old Brownsville Road near Saratoga.

The driver, 23-year-old Jacob Cory Robertson, also wouldn't pull over for a traffic stop.

This pursuit also reached speeds of more than 100 mph.

Spike strips finally helped end the chase near Greenwood and Port.

He is facing DWI, evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana charges, according to an official at the Nueces County Jail.
