CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department announced the Monday arrest of 26-year-old Cedric Hall in connection with last month's aggravated robbery of Corpus Christi City Councilman At-Large Michael Hunter.

Hall was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force, with help from CCPD and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers at around 3 p.m. on the 800 block of Erwin Drive, on a tip he was staying at the home.

Police said he was taken in without incident.

A CCPD blotter post said Hall was arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery which occurred on Feb. 11 in the 400 block of Chaparral, where Hunter reportedly was attacked on that day. The case numbers attached to both Hall's arrest, and Hunter's attack are the same.

Hunter was attacked, and allegedly robbed, by three hooded men after leaving a downtown restaurant almost three weeks ago. In video obtained exclusively by KRIS 6 News, three men can be seen walking crossing a street, while Hunter leaves the restaurant and heads to his car from a different direction.

One man approaches Hunter from behind, and Hunter immediately turns, he said he threw his keys, and runs after the interaction.

The men then appear to rifle through Hunter's car before leaving the scene.

Hall was booked into the City Detention Center on a warrant for aggravated robbery. His bond is set at $150,000.
