Parks & Recreation Department now hiring

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — The city's latchkey after school program will begin soon, but they have some vacancies to fill.

The latchkey program offers a safe and supervised environment for kids after they get out of school.

The Parks and Recreation Department is hiring staff to work with the program, and they have 36 part-time vacancies.

The primary qualification for these jobs? You would enjoy working with elementary school-age kids.

Lisa Oliver, with the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, So the ideal candidate will be energetic and willing to assist and supervise children daily, Monday through Friday.

The job pays just over $10 an hour, and the work schedule is from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
