CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Imagine this – your child walking to school on a sidewalk that's well overgrown.
And it’s the only sidewalk they can use to get to school.
That’s what some parents on the city's southside are worried about.
Parents I spoke with say the grass on Wooldridge Road on the way to Adkins Middle School is taking over the sidewalks.
And it’s a concern for their children's safety because sometimes it forces them to walk on the road.
One parent says he contacted code enforcement a week before school began, in hopes it would mow the area.
A couple of weeks into school, and children continue to walk through that jungle.
Today, we’ll be speaking to a concerned parent, as well as code enforcement about this.
Watch for the report this evening on KRIS 6 News.
