CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Air conditioning has been restored at Haas Middle School, but many parents are questioning how the school informed them about the issue.
Some parents tell KRIS 6 News the school didn't tell them about having any air conditioning until after 6 p.m. Monday. Some say they didn't get a notification at all.
For parents with children who have asthma or breathing problems, this was especially concerning.
One child said it got so hot inside the school there was humidity and condensation on the floors.
Despite some of those concerns, classes were not cancelled.
But why were the parents notified so late about the problems with the air conditioning. That’s the question we’ll be asking the school's principal.
We’ll tell you what she has to say this evening on KRIS 6 News.
