CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Volunteers with the American Red Cross are helping out a family after an overnight fire damaged their home.
The fire broke out around 12:45 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of West Clark Drive and Houston Street.
When firefighters arrived, they saw the family had evacuated the home along with their pets.
It took 15 minutes for firefighters to put out the fire. Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen.
Investigators added the home is unlivable.
