CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Thousands of dollars worth of oil field calibrating equipment was stolen from a business last night in the area of Navigation and Interstate 37.
That business on Savage Lane was one of two that was hit by burglars sometime overnight.
Police say the first attempted break-in happened at a trash disposal business on the 600 block of Navigation.
The burglar, or burglars, tried to get into that business by removing screws from the outside metal wall.
They couldn't get in. So instead, they broke into several vehicles in the parking lot.
The burglars were able to get into the business on Savage Lane where they stole that oil field equipment.
There were security cameras but police say the intruders disabled them.
