CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Reserve Deputy Benny Craft of the Nueces County Sheriff's department has died from heart conditions.
"Please join us in prayer and support for his family during this period of mourning," posted Nueces County Sheriff's Office.
Officials announced the passing of Craft this weekend. He died from heart conditions Saturday morning.
Deputy Craft served as a volunteer Peace Officer for 4 years and the San Patricio Sheriffs Office for 21 years before working for the Nueces County Sheriff's Office.
"Our sincere condolences to the family & friends of our long time lawman, Benny Craft," posted San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera.
