Nueces County has been honored for its efforts to employ veterans.
The U.S. Department of Labor recently recognized the county’s human resources department with its "Hire Vets Gold Medallion."
The county was honored with the medallion for its exemplary efforts to recruit, employ, and retain our nation’s veterans.
Nueces County was one of three “large” Texas employers honored with a Gold Medallion.
