CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Cabaniss Field Sports Complex has a new look.
CCISD officials were showing off the new combination football/soccer fields yesterday.
The work was thanks to a 2016 bond issue approved by voters.
“They're full length fields and they're all the regulations for football and or soccer and they seat about 800 fans each side,” CCISD athletic director Brenda Marshall said. “And a press box, it’s fully functional. We've got ticket booths, we've got concession stands, restrooms so we're just like a mini-stadium.”
The new fields also have scoreboards.
They've already seen a lot of middle school football and soccer action.
