CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two of the greatest R&B acts in music history -- the Temptations and the Four Tops -- will perform at 7 p.m. March 15 at the American Bank Center.

Tickets are $44 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the American Bank Center box office or online at Ticketmaster.com

Interest in the Temptations has been sparked by the hit Broadway musical “Ain’t Too Proud: The Music of The Temptations.” The group began in Detroit in the early 1960s, notching its first hit with the 1964 Smokey Robinson written-and-produced “The Way You Do The Things You Do.” Other chart toppers for the group have included “My Girl,” “It’s Growing,” “Since I Lost My Baby,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Beauty Is only Skin Deep,” “I Wish It Would Rain” and others.

The Four Tops have produced 24 Top 40 pop hits in their Hall of Fame career. Their string of hits began in 1964 with the Motown classic “Baby I Need Your Loving” followed by the #1 R&B and Pop smash “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” and “It’s The Same Old Song.”
