Adam Curtis Williams now is facing additional charges.

Williams is the man who was extradited to the custody of Kleberg Co. officials last week on felony auto theft charges for reportedly stealing N.H. couple James and Michelle Butler's 2018 silver Chevrolet 2500 extended cab pickup truck and their trailer. James and Michelle Butler's bodies were found on Padre Island, south of Bob Hall Pier, by a Kleberg Co. deputy Oct. 27. Their deaths still are under investigation.

Kleberg Co. Jail Capt. Albert Castillo told KRIS Communications on Tuesday that Williams faces seven charges stemming from crimes committed in Chache Co., Utah.

The charges are for three aggravated sexual assaults; and individual counts of aggravated assault-assault by prisoner, aggravated assault-interference with arresting officer, intoxication, and unlawful purchase by an interdicted person.

Carlos Alvarado with the U.S. Marshal's Service in Corpus Christi also said Williams was had been granted supervised release after being convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Alvarado said Williams was in prison for 100 months before being granted release, and now faces a charge for violating his federal probation.

Alvarado also said Williams has an arrest record that dates back to the 1990s.
