Mestina homicide suspect arrested

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police have made an arrest in the homicide that took place on the evening of Jan. 28 on the 1000 block of Mestina Street.

During the detective's investigation, it was determined that 41-year-old Robert Moore was involved in the homicide.

Detectives secured a murder arrest warrant with a bond of $1 million for Moore.

On Jan 28, officers were dispatched to the scene for an unconscious male on the ground. When the officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male who had been shot. The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.

On Jan. 30, the Corpus Christi Gang Unit and U.S. Marshal's Violent Fugitive Task Force were able to apprehend Moore.
