MATHIS, Texas — The message behind the brisket is, you just can't keep a good barbecue joint down.
Butter's Barbecue in Mathis reopened today, just days after that restaurant was heavily damaged by a hit and run driver.
An entire wall in the patio area was destroyed by an 18-wheeler.
The owner of the restaurant told us he planned to add a new item to his menu.
He planned to call it the "Hole in the Wall Special.”
The driver of the truck still hasn't been tracked down.
The Mathis Police Department has received some tips about the hit and run truck but they're still trying to track it and the driver down.
