Work continues on the large cross being built near Carbon Plant Road and Interstate 37.
There are already 70 tons of concrete laid down at the site, where the foundation goes 60-feet deep and will be able to withstand up to 165 mph winds.
I spoke with Rick Milby, the pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship, who's behind this project.
He gave KRIS 6 News update on when he hopes to have the cross finished.
