CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Nueces County District Attorney's Office has announced that Michael Patrick Lee was found guilty of charges of intoxication manslaughter and four counts of aggravated assault against a peace officer.

Judge Nanette Hasette sentenced Lee Wednesday afternoon to 20 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facility.

In July 2016, Lee was charged with intoxication manslaughter after police say he crashed a car into a utility pole in the 1800 block of Baldwin Boulevard.

Lee’s pregnant girlfriend was in the car and lost her unborn child as a result of the crash.

Back in January, a Nueces County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured while attempting to serve a warrant to Lee.
