CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man has been charged with murder in the city's latest homicide.
According to police, they were responding to a call for a fight on the 1700 block of Treway lane, near the Gulfway Manor, just after 6 p.m. Thursday.
When first responders arrived, they found a 28-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
During the investigation, 22-year-old Benny Guerra was arrested and charged.
Police say they believe the incident was not a random act of violence.
