CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An 17-year-old young man is facing serious charges after he was spotted getting into a stolen car.

Corpus Christi police say Jonathan Isiah Carabajal, 17, was one of two men spotted getting into a stolen Dodge Challenger on July 15.

When police officers approached the car, both suspects tried to flee from the scene but were later detained and arrested in the 1700 block of Treyway Lane.

While both men were being charged for evading, officers discovered Carabajal had a warrant for criminal mischief incident on July 20.

Last month, Carabajal was recorded on security surveillance allegedly stomping on windshield on top of several cars in the 5900 block of S. Oso Parkway.
