CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Planning a party can be stressful in itself, but doing it in the middle of a pandemic can make it even worse.
The owners of "Z Party Upscale Events" said that even though a lot of restrictions have been loosened regarding gatherings, they're still taking a hit.
Earlier in the year, in March, is when their business had to shut down completely.
Since then, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has allowed social gatherings to continue, but at 50-percent capacity.
This has forced venues, like Z Party, to adapt to the times to keep their business running.
They're offering new options when it comes to weddings, called "Mini-monies"
Which is just what it sounds like, a smaller ceremony and reception to accommodate with COVID-19 guidelines.
“The “mini monies” is a great option because basically a mini monies is efficient. The bride and groom maybe 10 or 12 relatives and that’s it. We have here a perfect space for us to make it intimate, beautiful but keep the safe distance,” said, Eva Marina who is the Owner of Z-Party Upscale Events.
“With these smaller ceremonies, it gives us more rooms to spread out the tables. We encourage a sanitation station where the sanitizer, masks and we uh reset our configuration a lot different than we used to just to keep people farther apart from each other. And it provides more space in the middle for their activities and their dancing and those kind of things,” said Sales Manager Darrell Baker.
Z Party encourages customers to bring in their own food as a precaution.
