CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Members of the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans Organization (IAVO) are marching in their annual ruck march across the Coastal Bend.

Each of them are dedicating their walk to someone special.

"Sergeant Greg Stuart, I served with him in Iraq," said Luis Pulido, a commander from Beeville. "He was a local police officer in Beeville, and a month after we returned from Iraq, he got killed in san antonio."

Now in its sixth year, the annual march has grown to include veterans in the Corpus Christi and Victoria chapters adding to the original Beeville group.

Together, the veterans cover a total of 100 miles over the course of five days, marching 20 miles each day. And today, these veterans are marching their 20 miles on Texas State Highway 77.

"It's very strenuous on your body but we all do it for a purpose. for the fallen and for those who came before us and it's a hundred miles that they couldn't complete." Pulido said.

But the overall mission is to always remember those who didn't come home.
