CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An employee that works at a local H-E-B has tested positive for COVID-19.

H-E-B made the announcement June 5.

"As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, our H-E-B family of more than 120,000 Partners has not gone unaffected," says a press release from H-E-B.

H-E-B calls their employee's partners. Representatives say the partner was last in the Alameda and Roberts store on May 31.

Since then the store has been cleaned and sanitized.

"While the pandemic is an evolving situation with many unknowns, we are sure of one thing: We will do our part to help our fellow Texans in any situation our company and communities might face."

The employee's name has not been released due to privacy laws.
