Two Republican races headed for runoffs on May 26

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two local Republican primary races are headed for runoffs.

None of the four candidates in the Nueces County Precinct 2 Constable's race received more than 50 percent of the vote.

So the top two vote getters will face each other in a runoff contest.

They are incumbent Mitchell Clark and Jason McCahan,

The Precinct 4 Constable's race will also be on the runoff ballot.

Monty Allen will challenge incumbent Robert Sherwood.

Early voting for the primary runoffs will start on May 18 and run through May 22.

Runoff day will be Tuesday May 26.

And early voting for the Novemeber general election will run from Oct. 19-30.

General Election day will be Tuesday Nov. 3.
