CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Working with clay is a fun and rewarding experience if you have the proper techniques. The Art Center of Corpus Christi is hosting a Clay 101 Class for anyone looking to get there hands on some clay.
The first of two sessions will take place this Tuesday, August 13, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. The second session is on August 27.
In the first class, topics that will be covered include construction of forms by pinching, coiling, and slab building along with a few simple decorating techniques. The second class teaches the basic fundamentals of glazing and the nature of different glazes.
Here is a breakdown of the prices:
Member: $75 for both sessions.
Non-Member: $80.00 for both sessions
Adult Class 18+
The price includes instruction, clay, and kiln firing.
