KINGSVILLE, Texas — The Wine Walk Sip and Shop was held in Kingsville on Saturday afternoon.
The event was aimed at helping small businesses. Usually several events are held in downtown Kingsville such as the La Posada Parade and Ranch Hand Weekend, but due to COVID-19, these events had to be canceled, putting a damper on business for local stores downtown.
Because of this, city officials decided to hold this event to allow shops to participate and reel in business safely.
“With these events we've done equally what we've done last year with the Ranch Hand breakfast and the Christmas parade, so I am very thankful for the city for doing what they have done for us,” said The Novel Blend bookstore owner Tom Difrancesca.
City officials appreciate everyone who attended the three-part weekend event and say they have received positive reviews.
