KINGSVILLE, Texas — Stop the presses, it turns out today will not be the last day of publishing for the Kingsville Record and the Bishop News.
The newspaper will not be shutting down.
King Ranch -- which has owned the newspaper since 1953 – says it will transfer ownership to the Kingsville Area Industrial Development Foundation.
That's being finalized this week. And the newspaper will continue to publish on its usual twice-weekly schedule.
The newspaper had announced last month that they were closing, because of troubling financial times and an uncertain future.
