CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Kayakers were rescued from the Humble Channel this morning.
Reports of possibly distressed kayakers were responded to at about 10:55 a.m., Saturday, January 11.
According to Nueces County E.S.D. #2, the search began in the Oso Bay, but it didn't end there.
After about 40 minutes of searching around the J.F.K. causeway and Padre Island area, two of the individuals were located in a fishing cabin near Humble Channel.
The last person managed to swim to shore. All three people were evaluated by EMS and transported to the hospital.
