CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Jury selection is beginning today in the trial of Norma DeLeon.
The former Corpus Christi police officer is accused of impersonating a CPS worker.
In November of last year, DeLeon reportedly asked two officers to meet her at an apartment on Carroll Lane for a welfare check on a child.
She was said to have then passed herself off as a CPS worker, so the father would allow her in.
He later learned Deleon was not a case worker, but was, instead, dating the child's uncle.
