CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Students have been sent home after a local school suffered a power outage.
According to a press release from West Oso Independent School District Superintendent Conrado Garcia, AEP Texas expects the outage to last several hours, so the district will rely on asynchronous learning so that schooling isn't completely interrupted.
The district encourages those with questions to call the West Oso ISD administration office at 361-806-5900.
The actions took by the district somewhat mirror what happened last Wednesday morning after a power outage at John F. Kennedy Elementary School.
Last week, an outage prompted students to be dismissed at 9:30 a.m., with students who ride the bus to school being transported home by "transportation."
