CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man who was driving drunk and caused a deadly crash has been found guilty by a Nueces County jury.
27-year old John Andrew Alvarado was facing one count of intoxication manslaughter, two counts of intoxication assault and one count of attempting to commit an accident involving death.
Police say in December 2017, Alvarado was driving a car that caused a chain-reaction crash on Saratoga Boulevard that killed 41-year old Brenda Rodriguez and injured her 2 children.
The sentencing phase in the trial will continue later this week.
