ALICE, Texas — Jim Wells Precinct 5 Constable Robert Vasquez has been informed of unusual delivery of seeds from China inside his county.
In a Facebook post, Vasquez said a county resident informed him that she received a package of seeds from China that she did not order. This trend is continuing across the nation.
Vasquez warns that if you receive a package not to open it or plant the seeds. All incidents should be reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Plant Health APHIS' Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) program at 512-916-5241.
Emails can also be sent to Carol Motloch, the USDA's APHIS-PPQ State Operations Coordinator at carol.m.motloch@usda.gov.
