CORPUS CHRIST, Texas — West Oso Independent School District is temporarily closing JFK Elementary out of an abundance of caution after an employee has tested positive for the coronavirus.
KRIS 6 News spoke to Superintendent Conrado Garcia who says the school district was just notified of the situation early Sunday.
The building will be completely sanitized, and in the meantime, students who attend school on-campus will quarantine and move to remote learning.
Contact tracing will be implemented, and if a student or staff member has been exposed, they will be contacted individually.
The district thanks everyone for their continued support to provide a safe school environment and making safety a first priority.
