ORANGE GROVE, Texas — If you're a fan of NBC's "The Voice,” then you've no doubt heard about Jake Hoot.
He's made it to the final round of the singing competition.
Hoot’s roots are here in Corpus Christi, where he was born.
Hoot will perform several songs on tonight's show -- including a duet with his coach, Kelly Clarkson.
His family in Orange Grove will be among the many who are pulling for him.
“I am just so proud of him,” said his grandmother, Katy O’Neal.“I've always known he was gonna do something big.”
Other family members are just as pleased.
“You know, our community is small,” his aun Kathy Rusk said. “And so they're very supportive of anything we do and so it's like one big family.”
