INGLESIDE, Texas — An Ingleside woman was arrested today for assault-family violence and possession of illegal narcotics.
According to the Ingleside Police Department, 35-year-old Linda Torres Pippins awoke her 16-year-old daughter around midnight last night and began hitting her and punching her in the face. The child suffered facial and scalp contusion and was taken by her grandparents to a local hospital.
When arrested, Pippins was in possession of various illegal narcotics so she is also being charged with possession of a controlled substance - PG 3. less than 28 grams.
