CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The annual “Hunting for Donors” blood drive is taking place this weekend and you can help save a life.

Event organizers say there was a good turn out Saturday and hope they can help boost up the blood supply in the blood bank.

“It means so much to the Coastal Bend for the donors to come out and help us. We really need all blood types, especially “O” positive and “O” negative. We're just so thankful the community has come out to help,” said donor and public relations forCoastal Bend Blood Center Celeste Baggett.

“Well I actually had COVID, I recovered, I came today to see if i can donate my plasma. If I do have the antibodies, so I can help somebody else,” said donor Richard Gonzalez.

If you did not donate Saturday and would like to, you have another opportunity on Sunday. The blood center will be in front of cavender's Boot City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
