CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An annual tradition in Corpus Christi is postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Harbor Light Festival organizers decided to postpone the event until next year.
The festival transforms the Corpus Christi Bayfront Marina into a holiday festival to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas holiday seasons.
"After careful consideration and the ongoing Coronavirus, the Annual Harbor Lights Festival normally held the first Saturday in December will be postponed until 12/4/2021," the group stated in a release. "The Harbor Lights Festival committee wishes everyone a safe and healthy holiday."
The group told KRIS 6 News on Friday evening, however, that the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will still be held. No date was given for that event.
This is a developing story. Check back with KRIS 6 News for more updates.
