The 5th Annual Surftoberfest is happening this weekend. It's a German-style family festival which will take place at the Texas Surf Museum and the Executive Surf Club, where Sunrise reporter Chelsea Torres was live this morning.

Oktoberfest is the Corpus Christi spin on the traditional German festival. Chelsea talked to Water Street Restaurants’ Emily Veazey about the family-friendly event, which takes place from noon-11 p.m. Saturday and benefits the surf museum. The museum also has partnered with the USO of South Texas for the event, and the proceeds will be split between the two non-profits.

And don’t forget to check out the museum’s China Beach exhibit, which is a new addition and explores surfing's impact during the Vietnam War.

Admission is free and part of Chaparral Street will be closed for the event. There will be two stages with a full lineup of bands throughout the day.
