Ghost hunting on the Blue Ghost

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — This Saturday is national ghost hunting day. And if you love all things paranormal, you won't want to miss the chance to hunt for them yourselves aboard the USS Lexington.

We can't think of a better place to go ghost hunting than on a WWII navy warship called the Blue Ghost.

The USS Lexington has long been known for its paranormal activity and to get you in the Halloween spirit they invite you to an overnight investigation.

The Lexington Museum is adding a class to the Blue ghost event to teach new investigators the basics when hunting for paranormal Experiences.

“Starting up this year for the first time is paranormal 101 class to cover all the absolute basics, ” said Bill Miller Chief Investigator for paranormal.

Paranormal investigator Bill Miller and his special guest investigators will explain how to use the equipment and which equipment you should buy.
“After the class we are going to take them out and actually go let them practice what they learned, ” said Miller.

But if you’re not new to experiencing paranormal experiences. “The hardcore investigators are going to be able to travel as a team and go to sectors on this ship to investigate stuff we’ve actually have had activity, ” said Miller

There are 6 areas that you can tour along with a handout to know the history of the areas that you are in.

“Certain areas of the ship give you more activity at different times,” said Amanda Taylor Membership Coordinator. “Some of the areas that he takes you to will be on the tour route and some will not be on tour routes so you will be able to go off,” said Taylor.

They are limiting tickets to 65 and to ensure social distancing guidelines masks are required, they will have hand sanitizer stations and they will be spraying down highly touched areas with sanitizer.

“Everyone that books with their people will stay together and everyone will stay socially distanced,” said Rebekah Everhart Director of Sales.

The event is Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 7 p.m., tickets are $99 and it is for ages 12 and up. They will be giving out these cool swag bags with goodies and a flashlight in them.
