CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — School districts across the Coastal Bend are offering free meals while schools are closed.
Many districts have extended spring breaks due to concerns over the spread of coronavirus.
Today was the first day CCISD students 18 years and younger could pick up a to-go meal at local high schools.
Each meal packet included a sandwich, fruits and veggies, as well as milk.
Tuloso-Midway ISD plans to start similar free meals on Tuesday.
