UPDATE: 6:00 am - Capt. David Cook, with the Corpus Christi police department, confirmed the lanes were reopened earlier this morning.
Corpus Christi police shutdown the flyover lanes after a major crash.
The crash happened around 1:15 am Thursday on the flyover lanes from the Crosstown Expressway to Highway 358.
Major Traffic Accident. All lanes on the flyover from HWY 286 SB to HWY 358 EB are currently shut down. Please avoid the area if possible.

There is no word yet on the amount of people injured from the crash or their medical conditions.
