Firefighters save Bluntzer home

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — A Bluntzer family is thankful for first responders after they saved their home.

The fire broke out around 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the attic of a home located along Farm Market 3088.

When firefighters with the Bluntzer and Annaville fire departments arrived, they put out the fire in under 15 minutes.

The house did sustained smoke damage to the attic and the roof, but firefighters were able to save the home from burning up.

Firefighters at the scene said the family was inside the home when the flames broke out. They escaped without any injuries.

Investigators at the scene said the cause of the fire appears to be electrical.
