Fire crews were busy working a house fire in Flour Bluff this afternoon.
Dark and heavy smoke could be seen in the area.
According to Nueces County E.S.D. number 2, the fire broke out just before 2 this afternoon on Stardust Lane near Don Patricio Road.
A woman was home at the time but fortunately made it out okay.
"After difficult fire fight, the fire was placed under control, the residence was a total loss but no injuries to the occupants or first responders," said Nueces County E.S.D. #2 in a post.
Still no word on what caused the fire, but the home did suffer some major damage.
It's unclear if the Red Cross is helping in this case.
