BEEVILLE, Texas — Beeville County officials have released the name of a woman who died last night in a wreck on Highway 181.

25-year-old Victoria Lyssy was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 3-year-old and a 1-year-old were in the Chevy Traverse with the driver during the incident and they were taken to Spohn Beeville with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bee County authorities responded to the incident at approximately 8:35 p.m. Saturday evening.

"Emergency crews are on scene of a fatal accident," said a post from Bee County Sheriff's Office on Facebook.

Officer Nathan Brandley with the Department of Public Safety said a 2012 Dodge Ram pick up truck was pulling a trailer traveling south on US 181 and a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling north on US 181. The driver of the Dodge Ram fishtailed, lost control, and veered into the oncoming lane. The wet roadway caused hydroplaning and the car hit the Chevy Traverse.

Lyssy was said to be from Tuleta.
