CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Things got heated last night during a town hall meeting at the Hilltop Community Center.

“You're already interested in land,” one person said. “You’re already kicking us out. You’re already making us sell, but we want to know why we have to sell! We didn't know we had to sell! O.K., it's not going to do any good if you yell!”

Some people who live in Annaville and Calallen are not happy about crude oil tanks being built just off Callicoate Road.

The tanks are part of the Epic Crude Holdings Pipeline Project.

People spoke out saying no one told them the tanks were part of the project.

“My main concern is my mom,” resident Albert Martinez said. “O.K., what these people did, I think is ridiculous. I know that they did everything legally. That doesn't make it right, in my opinion, but you know what opinions are? Right, everybody has got one.”

A company spokesperson says Epic has tried to make changes based on what they've heard from those people in Calallen and Annaville.

One new plan they have includes planting a line of trees along the roads facing the neighborhood.
