Family members were involved in a brawl that left one of them in critical condition Thursday night.
Corpus Christi Police responded to a call in reference to an assault with injuries on the 400 block of Stages Drive.
Following a preliminary investigation, police say a 45-year-old woman went to the home of a 78-year-old female relative. The two then got into a disturbance. According to Lt. Michael Peña, the 45-year-old left the residence when the elderly woman left to a neighbors to call 911.
Officers arrived on the scene around 7 p.m. and found the elderly woman unresponsive. CPR was performed then she was transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline in critical condition.
Charges have not been brought against the 45-year-old woman.
