CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The loss of power has affected many families across the Coastal Bend
And that also includes our elderly population.
When we arrived at Cimarron Estates Senior Apartments at 2802 Cimmaron Blvd., we saw several families coming to check in on their loved ones.
According to residents, some folks were able to leave and stay with loved ones.
But others say they didn’t have that luxury.
We spoke one resident who’s lived at the facility for about three years.
He says he hasn't seen anything like the problems caused by the extended cold snap.
"You got a lot of people who live on the third floor who can't get down," the man said. "You've got water on the floors because of the broken pipes."
Other residents say the problems have been going on since Sunday night.
