CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Driscoll Health Plan gave away backpacks and school supplies for Coastal Bend children.
The event was held Saturday at Whataburger Field with the help of the Corpus Christi Hooks and H-E-B.
Although the start of the school year will be virtual, children should still be prepared with supplies.
“As students are starting to get back to school, parents aren't ready to get them back to school,” said Jenessa Trebatoska of Driscoll Health Plan. “Students still need supplies from home.”
Driscoll Health Plan officials say the giveaway wouldn't have been possible without those organizations who donated.
