The downtown U.S. Postal Service location at 802 N. Tancahua, has resumed mail delivery, retail and post office box operations, effective immediately.
Operations were temporarily suspended due to safety concerns after a truck knocked down a concrete beam in the building's parking garage.
In an abundance of caution, the postal service relocated postal operations to the Dr. H.P. Garcia Post Office in the interim.
Retail hours of operation at the downtown station are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The post office apologizes for any inconvenience that the closure may have been caused; but said the safety and well-being of both customers and employees is of the utmost importance to them.
