CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Owner of a local Barber Shop is in a tough spot due to the announcement of some city development.

Gustavo Salazar has owned the Downtown Barber Shop for eight years and has built a strong clientele catering to hundreds in that area.

He says the development will affect him financially because he'll have to find a new location.

He says it will be sad to see his neighbors leave but he's also happy to see the city grow.

"I would rather see the city grow and have growth versus the city staying stagnant for another 30, 40 years," Salazar told us. "Hey you can't have your cake and eat it too. if you want development you know you're obviously gonna have to take a loss somehow."

Salazar says when and if the time comes, he'll reopen once again in the downtown district.
