CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The demolition continues on the old Second Baptist Church and School on Furman and Tancahua.
About half of the main chapel has been torn down and hauled off in the past week.
Demolition will continue for the next month, before construction begins.
The framing of the old school will be redeveloped by an Austin-based company. Their representatives will be in town later this week to view the site.
The Second Baptist Church closed in 1986 and was relocated to the south side of town.
